📋 Description

• Perform database migrations using AWS DMS, including task creation, CDC configuration, and troubleshooting; • Provision and configure RDS/Aurora according to AWS best practices; • Conduct integrity analyses, schema validation, and post-migration comparisons; • Troubleshoot query, compatibility, and performance issues following migration; • Support the application team during acceptance testing, QA and post-migration adjustments; • Perform performance tuning, reviewing indexes, workloads, and critical parameters; • Document environments, configurations, standards, and technical decisions throughout the project; • Participate in assisted operations, ensuring stabilization and proper functioning of the migrated environment.

🎯 Requirements

• Proven experience as a DBA or Database Engineer; • Previous experience with database migration projects; • Strong knowledge of AWS DMS, including CDC and troubleshooting; • Experience with Amazon RDS and Amazon Aurora (MySQL, MariaDB, PostgreSQL); • Proficiency in analysis, performance tuning, and investigating compatibility issues; • Ability to perform schema validation, integrity checks, and post-migration comparisons; • Experience with Linux environments and scripting for automation.
