• Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer and supporting the financial department • Undertaking daily accounting tasks and assisting with company operations • Full Cycle accounting for clients in multiple industries • Bank and credit card reconciliations • E-commerce sales reconciliations • Payroll processing • Remote, cloud-based work for multiple client engagements • Start part-time with potential to transition to full-time as client list grows
• An undergraduate degree in Accounting or a related field (required) • CPA Certification or active work towards obtaining certification • Proficient with Quickbooks Online, Xero, WAVE, NetSuite, Zoho Books, and other cloud based accounting platforms • You have a minimum of 3 years of experience of full cycle bookkeeping for a variety of clients in different industries, providing financial statements/documents to a client’s accountant/controller • You are able to respond to your email inbox with speed, accuracy and professionalism • You are extremely detail oriented and take pride in your ability to produce accurate work output • You have an ability to work autonomously while being part of our team • Knowledge of sales tax nexus • Experience with budgeting, invoicing, and reporting (required) • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (required) • Familiarity with a variety of office management and accounting concepts, practices, and software • Willingness to develop necessary skills to support both Canadian and US accounting fields • Excellent written and oral communication skills • Strong team and interpersonal skills • Disciplined and process-oriented mindset • Strong problem solving and analytical skills • Reliable computer and internet connection
