📋 Description
• Deliver one-on-one conversational and assessment-based English lessons to adult Japanese students • Teach 25-minute classes to learners from absolute beginner to advanced levels • Adapt lessons to each student's proficiency level • Provide a brief, encouraging message of approximately two minutes after each class • Teach using provided lesson materials on the client's internal platform linked to Zoom • Follow assigned shifts and adapt to schedule changes • Cover classes for absent teachers when desired • Build relationships with students who may book recurring classes
🎯 Requirements
• Must be an ESL teacher from the Philippines • 3-year National Diploma (minimum qualification) • Completed, accredited 120-hour TEFL certificate or equivalent • Minimum 1 year of ESL teaching experience • Demo lesson required during the application process • Able to teach English across all CEFR proficiency levels, from absolute beginner to advanced • Energetic, student-focused, and comfortable teaching online • Schedule-aware and responsive; responsible for knowing assigned shifts and adapting to changes • Clear and effective communication • Patience and empathy with learners at all levels • Positive attitude and professional presence • Strong time management and organisational skills • Adaptability in a dynamic, student-driven environment • Problem-solving mindset • Computer with minimum 2GHz / 4 CPU processor and 8GB RAM • Fibre internet connection with LAN cable and minimum 20 Mbps upload and download speed • Backup power required for load shedding or power outages • Webcam and noise-cancelling headset • Quiet, private, well-lit teaching space with a neutral background
