📋 Description

• Deliver one-on-one conversational and assessment-based English lessons to adult Japanese students • Teach 25-minute classes across beginner to advanced proficiency levels • Adapt instruction to each student's level and needs • Provide a brief, encouraging message after each class, approximately two minutes • Teach using provided lesson materials on the client's internal platform linked to Zoom • Work assigned shifts with five-minute breaks between consecutive classes • Cover classes for absent teachers when desired • Build relationships with students who may book recurring classes

🎯 Requirements

• 3-year National Diploma (minimum qualification) • Completed, accredited 120-hour TEFL certificate or equivalent • Minimum 1 year of ESL teaching experience • Demo lesson required as part of the application process • Ability to teach English across all CEFR proficiency levels, from absolute beginner to advanced • Energetic, student-focused, and comfortable teaching online • Schedule-aware and responsive; responsible for knowing assigned shifts and adapting to changes • Clear and effective communication • Patience and empathy with learners at all levels • Positive attitude and professional presence • Strong time management and organisational skills • Adaptability in a dynamic, student-driven environment • Problem-solving mindset • Computer with minimum 2GHz processor / 4 CPU and 8GB RAM • Fibre internet connection with LAN cable and minimum 20 Mbps upload and download speed • Backup power required for load shedding/power outages • Webcam and noise-cancelling headset • Quiet, private, well-lit teaching space with a neutral background
