📋 Description

• Management and oversight of daily, month end/quarter end/year end closing procedures across General Accounting, Corporate Accounting, Treasury and Service Revenue Billing team • Facilitate review meetings and analytics, ensuring results are accurate and timely • Support the creation, review and update of supporting SOX narratives and coordinate the SOX testing program • Support execution of internal control procedures across Accounting team, ensuring compliance with US GAAP and SOX • Participate in internal and external audits as they arise (preparation and facilitation as required) • Foster the development and implementation of new procedures and controls to enhance the workflow of the department and accuracy of financial results • Support completion of tax returns and any subsequent tax assessments • Actively participate in the process improvement initiatives within the Accounting/Finance department • Performs related duties as assigned including inquiries regarding financial results and reporting

🎯 Requirements

• BA/BS in Business with an emphasis in Accounting • CPA designation an asset • Minimum 5 years’ directly related experience • Experience working in the Pharmaceutical or Healthcare industry and / or Audit experience would be an asset • Strong working knowledge of accounting practices and principles • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing • Strong organizational and project management skills • Strong critical thinking skills and analytical skills • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint • Ability to multi-task, work under pressure and meet deadlines required • Working knowledge of Sage, and other ERP software packages • daily contacts with unilingual English-speaking customers, patients or peers from cross-functional teams
