• Develop and successfully implement purchasing strategies for the OTC and self-selection segments • Conduct annual and commercial negotiations with manufacturers, with a particular focus on key KPIs such as purchase discounts, rebates/bonuses and payment terms • Analyze and optimize KPI-driven control metrics such as margin, sales development, delivery performance and sales dynamics • Identify assortment growth and margin opportunities and align them with company objectives • Work closely with Retail Media, Category Management and Demand & Supply teams to derive and implement joint measures • Monitor and analyze market and competitor developments in the OTC and self-selection segments to inform strategic decisions • Build and maintain sustainable, partnership-based relationships with manufacturers
• Degree in business administration or a comparable commercial qualification • Several years of experience in strategic procurement, ideally in the OTC/self-selection or FMCG (Health & Beauty) sector • Persuasive communication skills and solid experience in price and commercial negotiations with manufacturers • Strong analytical skills in working with metrics and reports, combined with a pragmatic approach • Confident user of Excel and PowerPoint • Good written and spoken English • Experience with merchandise management and analytics tools is desirable
