📋 Description

• Actively participate in the monthly close process for Poland and select countries, prepare journal entries, account reconciliations and variance analysis while ensuring accuracy and adherence to both US and local GAAP • Prepare reporting packages for 3rd party accounting service providers to ensure accuracy of statutory accounting and reporting requirements • Maintain local and US books in the appropriate systems while ensuring that US and statutory differences are properly reconciled • Work with outside service providers, where applicable, on the coordination and preparation of local ledgers • Assist in statutory audits by liaising with statutory auditors, preparing audit schedules and assisting with preparation of financial statements and related filings • Assist in the implementation of accounting, procedural or control changes as need to support accounting processes development

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years of accounting experience • University degree in Accounting, Finance or related field • Fluent in English and Polish • Knowledgeable local statutory reporting requirements (Polish Accounting Act) • Ability to interact in a highly professional, collaborative manner with all levels of personnel, both internal and external to the organization • Able to work independently with limited supervision and utilize judgment in performance of assigned responsibilities • Detail oriented, dependable and able to work discreetly with sensitive, confidential information • Adaptable to changing priorities and evolving responsibilities • Must be resourceful and take the initiative to follow through on assigned and/or new tasks. • Experience in a Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliant environment, a plus
