📋 Description

• Prepare and submit VAT returns and related reports across several EMEA/APAC jurisdictions • Work with tax advisors on reports connected with Remote's VAT obligations • Reconcile VAT accounts and analyse discrepancies to ensure ERP data accuracy • Liaise with accounts payable, accounts receivable and accounting teams to review transactions and make corrections • Analyse invoices for compliance with local tax law and correct tax treatment • Manage compliance with e-invoicing regulations across multiple EMEA/APAC jurisdictions • Assist with VAT registrations and de-registrations • Support VAT audits • Conduct ad hoc research and projects, including expansion into new countries and VAT treatment of new operations • Monitor VAT legislative changes and assess business impact • Identify and implement VAT reporting process improvements • Perform VAT number checks • Review and update VAT records for invoicing and reporting accuracy • Collaborate with the tax technology team to ensure source-data accuracy • Report to the Senior Manager, VAT within the Finance - Tax team

🎯 Requirements

• Experience working in a Tax department, particularly in a Big 4 environment focused on tax and reporting • Experience preparing and filing tax returns • SAP experience is advantageous but not mandatory • Bachelor's or master's degree in Tax, Accounting, Finance, Management or similar • Chartered accountant qualification such as ACA, ACCA, CTA, CPA or similar is highly valued • Good organisation skills and attention to detail • Ability to work in a fast-paced, challenging environment • Fluent written and spoken English • Strong analytical skills • CV and application submitted in English • Prior remote-work experience is a plus, not required
