📋 Description

• Take ownership of key areas of the monthly management accounts process • Prepare month-end journals, accruals, prepayments and other accounting adjustments • Complete balance sheet reconciliations and resolve discrepancies • Review receivables, aged debt and customer payment performance • Monitor payables and supplier balances • Reconcile revenue, cash receipts and customer payments • Support revenue recognition and deferred income calculations • Produce monthly P&L, balance sheet and cash-flow analysis • Analyse performance against budgets, forecasts and previous periods • Investigate variances and identify commercial drivers behind performance • Provide financial and commercial analysis to support management decisions • Help strengthen financial controls and improve reporting processes • Support budgeting, forecasting and cash-flow management • Assist senior finance leadership with commercial and ad-hoc projects

🎯 Requirements

• ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified • Ideally 1–2+ years post-qualification • Strong technical knowledge across month-end accounting and balance sheet reconciliations • Highly competent in Excel • Comfortable working with large volumes of financial data • Able to produce detailed financial and commercial analysis • Commercially minded and interested in understanding business performance drivers • Accurate, organised and comfortable taking ownership of deadlines • Able to operate effectively within a growing, fast-paced organisation • Experience with high volumes of customer transactions, recurring payments or complex receivables is advantageous but not essential
