• Overseeing all aspects of payroll processing for a multi-state employee population • Leading a team of payroll professionals • Ensuring compliance with all federal, state, and local payroll tax laws and regulations • Developing and implementing payroll strategies that align with company goals • Managing relationships with external payroll providers, tax authorities, and other relevant vendors • Overseeing the accurate and timely processing of weekly and semi-monthly payroll for all employees • Managing all payroll tax filings, including federal, state, local income taxes, and Canada/providences • Ensuring accurate and timely processing of all payroll deductions • Overseeing year-end payroll activities, including W-2 processing and reconciliation • Managing and resolving complex payroll issues, discrepancies, and employee inquiries
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration • Master’s degree is preferred • Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) required • Minimum of 10+ years of progressive experience in payroll management • At least 5 years in a leadership/director-level role for a large organization (5,000+ employees) • In-depth knowledge of federal, state, and local payroll laws and regulations • Experience with major payroll/HRIS systems is essential
