• Sell an expanding portfolio of high-value products and flexible solutions for biologic drug, gene therapy, and cell therapy production • Manage strategic biopharmaceutical accounts and drive consumable and system-based opportunities across the full bioprocess workflow • Develop sales strategies and sales plans for the assigned territory • Seek leads and opportunities and build and manage a robust sales pipeline • Promote and sell upstream, downstream, and single-use products, articulating product differentiators and value propositions • Support market research, major customer projects, product launches, and product development initiatives • Implement marketing plans, including road shows, seminars, promotions, and sales collateral development • Manage sales processes, lead records, sales activities, and funnel management through Salesforce.com • Establish and maintain strategic key-account relationships • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and provide timely sales reporting and forecasting • Maintain relationships with market infrastructure partners and identify new business opportunities • Advocate for customers and markets internally and share product, market, and competitive information • Provide Manufacturing and QA/QC operations with information for forecasting, complaint handling, and facility audits • Execute field sales activities including customer visits, technical presentations, laboratory demonstrations, and quote negotiations • Attend, manage, and follow up on trade shows to generate leads • Drive strategic system and consumable opportunities involving filtration, TFF, chromatography, and single-use technologies • Support customer projects involving scale-up, technology transfer, validation, and commercial manufacturing • Build relationships with stakeholders across manufacturing, engineering, process development, procurement, and QA • Lead commercial discussions and coordination for large-scale capital equipment and strategic projects • Identify competitive displacement opportunities and develop account penetration plans
• A Bachelor’s degree or higher in a scientific (biology/biochemistry) or similar major • A minimum of 8 years of experience in the biopharmaceutical or life science industries • Strong understanding of cell culture, chromatography, and filtration • Understanding of upstream and downstream processing beneficial • Proven successful sales track record and key account management experience • Experience managing major biopharmaceutical or CDMO accounts preferred • Experience with system business, single-use technologies, and process equipment highly preferred • Experience supporting complex customer projects, CDMO environments, and capital equipment opportunities highly valued • Excellent analytical, forecasting, and management skills • Strong communication and presentation skills • Strong technical and business acumen • Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills • Ability to prioritize and work independently to achieve defined goals • Ability to work well within global, cross-functional teams • Willingness and ability to work flexible hours to accommodate client schedules • Proficient in MS Office and Salesforce.com • Proficient in English in listening, reading, writing, and speaking • Proven track record for +5 million USD project completion • Strong strategic account management capability and ability to influence complex customer decision-making processes • Ability to manage long sales-cycle opportunities and multifunctional customer projects • Strong understanding of bioprocess manufacturing workflows from upstream to downstream operations
