• Lead the delivery of civil and land development designs for utility-scale renewable energy projects. • Apply advanced civil engineering judgment and technical leadership to drive high-quality project execution. • Own complex scope across projects and portfolios, mentor and develop other engineers. • Shape the standards and processes for engineering excellence. • Create complex civil engineering plans, details, calculations, and documentation for projects. • Lead site design, grading, drainage, stormwater management, erosion control, and access roads. • Oversee project portfolios, plan, schedule and coordinate preparation of documents and activities. • Review and finalize scopes, budgets, and schedules for engineering projects. • Ensure compliance with company, industry, and client-specific standards. • Identify design issues, project risks, and opportunities for improvement. • Coordinate design work across internal project teams. • Act as a main point of contact for clients and stakeholders. • Supervise, train, and mentor staff engineers; assist management as a technical specialist or advisor.
• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or a related engineering discipline, or similar applicable work experience. • 8+ years of experience in civil engineering design and drafting utilizing AutoCAD and/or Civil 3D. • Proficiency in the creation of civil land development sheet sets, including grading, site drainage, and access road design. • Advanced working knowledge of civil engineering principles, standards, codes, and design practices. • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and independently. • Ability to identify and solve complex engineering problems. • Advanced verbal and written communication skills. • Ability to be both creative and analytical. • Detail-oriented and accurate. • Ability to manage time effectively, prioritize work, and meet deadlines. • Collaborative approach to project delivery and cross-functional coordination. • Professional Civil Engineering (PE) licensure is strongly preferred; multi-state licensure is desirable. • Prior renewable energy, utility-scale solar, BESS, infrastructure, or land development experience; experience with utility or commercial solar PV systems or energy storage system design is strongly preferred. • Prior supervisory or managerial experience. • Experience with civil design software and tools relevant to site design, grading, drainage, stormwater, and permitting. • Experience coordinating with clients, permitting authorities, project managers, and multidisciplinary engineering teams.
