âą Review architectural drawings, specifications, and project documents for Division 8 scope requirements âą Prepare accurate cost estimates for doors, frames, hardware, and locking systems âą Perform quantity takeoffs and material calculations âą Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to obtain pricing and product information âą Analyze bid documents, addenda, and project revisions âą Prepare and submit proposals and bid packages within deadlines âą Collaborate with project managers, sales teams, and clients regarding project requirements âą Maintain organized estimating records and project documentation âą Identify value engineering opportunities and cost-saving solutions âą Ensure estimates align with company standards, project specifications, and industry regulations
âą Bachelorâs degree (BA/BS) highly preferred âą Minimum of 2 years of estimating experience in construction, doors and hardware, or related industry âą Knowledge of Division 8 products including doors, frames, hardware, and access control systems âą Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings and construction specifications âą Experience with estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite âą Strong mathematical, analytical, and problem-solving skills âą Excellent organizational and time management abilities âą Strong communication and coordination skills âą Ability to manage multiple bids and deadlines in a fast-paced environment âą Experience working with commercial construction projects preferred
