📋 Description

• Prepare complex network designs for new and existing client sites, relocations, upgrades, expansions, and disaster recovery setups, focusing on Cisco core networks • Assist with designing, building, and configuring global network environments • Document datacenter technologies and train peers in their application • Implement and maintain L2/L3 logical designs, spanning tree, VTP, VLANs, physical cabling, VPN software, network control protocols, network management protocols, and security protocols • Provide Tier 3 support for network and data communication issues, circuits, routing, VPN connectivity, WAN optimization, hardware, and third-party vendor connectivity • Research networking issues and products, evaluate solutions, and apply effective resolutions • Prioritize urgent and sensitive client tasks and manage expectations to ensure client satisfaction • Configure IPSec VPN tunnels, IP communication, and OSPF, EIGRP, and BGP routing • Optimize efficiency using knowledge of equipment, production processes, and quality control • Perform BAU and project work and complete timesheets for client billing • Participate in an on-call rotation approximately every 10 weeks and handle escalations from other business units

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent level of hands-on experience • 7–10 years of related IT experience in a Cisco environment • 5+ years of network engineering experience • CCNP or equivalent • Experience in Network Design Architect work • Advanced routing and switching experience • Ability to travel to client offices and data centers if needed • Palo Alto experience required; Fortigate and ASA are an advantage • Financial services industry and MSP experience preferred • Strong understanding of routing, WAN/LAN, and transport technologies including Ethernet, SD-WAN, VPN, DMVPN, and MPLS • Excellent desktop and server troubleshooting skills • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and Visio • Hands-on experience with SolarWinds Orion and Kiwi; Syslog experience is a plus
