• Identify faults, repair, test and modify actuators in the field • Carry out planned and preventative maintenance • Perform mechanical and electrical installations of actuators and associated retrofit adaption of components, pedestals and drive shafts • Complete accurate and technical site visit reports for each job • Work independently and as part of a National team of Field Service Technicians providing prompt and effective service to customers within the Water, Power, Petrochemical and other associated Industries.
• Trade qualified • QLD Licensed Electrician with EEHA endorsement (EEHA preferred but not essential) • Electrical engineering background with a QLD restricted electrical qualification • Experience post apprenticeship in a practical engineering environment, preferably in a field-based role • A full valid driver’s license is required • Proficient Microsoft Office user i.e. Outlook, Word, Excel • Confined Space, Working at Heights, and First Aid Competence, or the ability to obtain • Able and willing to travel for work purposes, both locally and interstate • Strong technical experience and/or relevant knowledge of valves, actuators and digital control systems and networks will be highly regarded • Good understanding of basic electronics, electrical and fluid power theories • Ability to read and understand electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic schematics and utilization of common test and calibration tools.
