📋 Description
• Lead internal and supplier containment actions with Operations and Quality • Facilitate supplier kick-off meetings and establish rapid response actions • Conduct Root Cause and Corrective Action investigations for critical quality or delivery issues • Develop and implement supplier improvement plans and communication checkpoints • Monitor leading and lagging KPIs and evaluate containment exit criteria • Escalate persistent issues to crisis mode or tiger teams when warranted • Partner with Commodity Teams and SBUs to transition suppliers to sustainable operations • Identify supplier sites and prioritize development efforts according to risk, impact, and strategic commodity needs • Conduct supplier assessments using the OCRA tool • Engage suppliers through development roadmaps, training, and targeted maturity-model actions • Align with Commodity Managers and Engineering on supplier readiness for new programs and volume ramp-ups • Facilitate structured improvement plans, KPI tracking, and gate reviews • Monitor supplier maturity, initiate sustainment planning, and conduct re-engagement cycles • Develop and build manufacturing process technology tools and standardization, including FMEA and Control Plans • Provide leadership or support for supplier transitions with minimal disruption • Monitor supplier maturity post-transition and reinforce continuous improvement • Execute APQP for new product launches and work transition projects • Collaborate with Commodity Managers, Quality Assurance, Engineering, Operations, Planning, SBUs, supplier leadership, crisis response teams, and tiger teams
🎯 Requirements
• Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience • Advanced proficiency in English • Casting and/or forging manufacturing experience preferred • Experience working with cross-functional personnel preferred • High communication skills and ability to develop a network of relationships with Collins Aerospace business units preferred • Strong work orientation and organization preferred • Ability to apply CORE principles/tools to manage processes, ensuring continuous improvement and benchmarking best practices preferred • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite applications, including MS Project, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and MS Access preferred • Ability to travel to supplier sites as needed, minimum 50% of the time • Knowledge and understanding of casting and/or forging products and their manufacturing
