• Develop process improvement strategies and risk mitigation activities to be utilized across supply base • Closely interface with external/internal customers and key partners to establish effective relationships • Leverage quality assurance to influence, manage, and impact business multilevel decision-makers focusing on customer priorities and mission success requirements • Interpret purchase order quality notes and quality requirements to ensure subcontractor/supplier understanding • Flow down product requirements both internally and to sub-tier suppliers focused on compliance with quality requirements • Assess subcontractor/supplier quality capabilities, risks, and system performance issues using RCCA throughout program life cycle • Work with other Quality functions and Cross Business Teams (CBTs), to affect rapid closure of issues utilizing analytical capabilities and communications skills • Support the First Article Verification and Source Inspection as well as supplier assessments, audits, and reviews.
• Typically requires a Bachelor’s in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math) • minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience • Relevant experience in supplier quality, supplier engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, manufacturing & quality systems and/or technical supplier management • Experience managing and leading suppliers with Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) methods (Six Sigma, 5 Whys, Fishbone, CORE, etc.) • Experience working process improvement initiatives • Experience in collecting, analyzing, and presenting data for decision making • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for security clearance
