📋 Description

• A Senior Engineer I is an expert technical leader who delivers high-quality code for complex projects. • They are responsible for setting and maintaining high engineering standards within their team, mentoring other engineers, and improving the practices of the entire engineering department. • They work closely with the Product Owner and Engineering Manager to scope and deliver impactful features. • Lead the technical design and development of large, complex features, breaking them down into manageable tasks. • Write clean, well-tested, and high-quality code, driving engineering best practices and participating actively in code reviews. • Mentor and coach other team members, helping them grow their skills. • Diagnose and solve the most challenging technical problems and bugs. • Collaborate with Product Owners to scope features and provide accurate status updates. • Contribute to system architecture and drive initiatives on the technical roadmap. • Participate in the hiring process by interviewing and evaluating candidates.

🎯 Requirements

• Experience: 5+ years in a relevant engineering role. • Technical Leadership: Ability to lead complex projects, estimate effort, and clear roadblocks. • Engineering Proficiency: Expert problem-solving skills with a high level of craftsmanship in coding, testing, and system design. • Mentorship: Proven ability to coach and guide other engineers. • Collaboration: Strong communication skills to work effectively with product owners, managers, and peers. • Cultural Contribution: Expected to actively improve the engineering culture by participating in guilds and technical discussions. • A bachelor’s degree in computer science or a similar field is the typical foundation. However, extensive practical experience is more critical. This must include deep expertise in Java, direct experience integrating payment gateways, and a strong understanding of API security and payment compliance standards (PCI DSS)
