📋 Description

• Execute manual and exploratory test passes against web and mobile releases • Use browser developer tools to diagnose and narrow down issues • Debug React Native applications on real iOS and Android devices, simulators, and emulators • Read device and crash logs and inspect network traffic • Use Datadog to triage issues, distinguish client-side from server-side bugs, and attach evidence to tickets • Test Java/Spring Boot REST APIs and the Node BFF by validating payloads, status codes, error handling, and edge cases • Validate authentication, authorization, and role-based access at the API level • Test service-to-service and data-pipeline behavior • Test idempotency, retries, and backend failure handling • Write actionable bug reports with reproduction steps, environments, expected versus actual behavior, logs, network calls, screenshots, or recordings • Build and maintain regression suites and release checklists • Help move repetitive test coverage toward automation • Use AI-assisted tooling for test case generation, log analysis, and reproduction investigation

🎯 Requirements

• Experience using browser developer tools to inspect JavaScript errors, network requests, payloads, status codes, headers, local/session storage, and device emulation • Experience testing and debugging React Native applications on real iOS and Android devices, simulators, and emulators • Ability to pull native device and crash logs, manage pre-release and over-the-air builds, and reproduce issues across OS versions and screen sizes • Experience designing and building automated test suites from scratch using Playwright for web and Maestro for mobile • Experience with API testing using Postman or comparable tools • Basic SQL and PostgreSQL knowledge • Comfort reading structured application logs • Familiarity with Datadog or comparable observability platforms for logs, dashboards, and error tracking • Strong written and verbal communication • Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions or comparable tools • Active use of AI tooling in day-to-day work • Ability to read TypeScript and React code (nice to have) • Familiarity with Jest and Testing Library unit tests (nice to have) • Familiarity with Optimizely or LaunchDarkly (nice to have) • Experience verifying Segment, Mixpanel, or Braze analytics and event tracking (nice to have) • Exposure to Sentry or Firebase Crashlytics (nice to have) • Familiarity with Jira and test case management tools (nice to have) • Accessibility and performance testing exposure (nice to have) • Familiarity with Gatling, Artillery, or comparable load-testing tools (nice to have) • Understanding of TestFlight, Play internal testing, and over-the-air updates (nice to have)
