📋 Description

• Review RFQ documentation, drawings, and specifications to develop accurate cost estimates for commercial electrical and roofing projects. • Conduct detailed takeoffs and prepare competitive bid proposals. • Research materials, labor rates, subcontractor costs, and timelines to generate accurate estimates. • Utilize construction software tools (e.g., Procore, PlanSwift, Buildertrend) to manage bid development. • Maintain professional communication with clients, subcontractors, and vendors to clarify project scope and pricing discrepancies. • Meet strict RFQ deadlines while balancing multiple, simultaneous bids. • Transition from estimation to project management responsibilities once contracts are awarded. • Coordinate schedules, subcontractors, field teams, and suppliers to ensure smooth project execution. • Track and manage project budgets, addressing discrepancies to maintain profitability. • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients during project execution, ensuring satisfaction. • Address and resolve challenges in a proactive and professional manner. • Maintain detailed documentation of project performance, change orders, and schedules.

🎯 Requirements

• Proven background in estimating within the electrical, roofing, and commercial construction industries. • Solid experience in managing projects after contract award, including coordinating teams and tracking budgets. • Proficiency in construction software (Procore, Buildertrend, PlanSwift, or equivalent). • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to foster relationships with clients and stakeholders. • Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to prioritize in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. • Ability to work independently as a remote contractor and meet obligations without constant oversight. • Familiarity with roofing systems, electrical installations, industry standards, and codes. • Experience with commercial renewable energy projects is a plus. • Strong understanding of technical specifications, drawings, and contract negotiation.
