📋 Description
• This professional will be responsible for contracting, supervising, and coordinating all activities related to Data Engineering and Architecture, Business Analytics, and Actuarial Insights and Intelligence. • Ensure the evolution and scalability of Sami’s Data Warehouse and data architectures, guaranteeing performance, reliability, and security for mission-critical systems. • Lead the technical team in maintaining and optimizing data pipelines, ensuring data quality and availability for all areas of the company. • Identify relevant data sources for a given project or analysis, whether from internal databases, record systems, external APIs, or other available data sources. • Monitor data evolution over time, tracking metrics and key indicators to detect significant changes and identify opportunities or issues. • Define and implement the data governance strategy, including cataloging, lineage, access control, and compliance with LGPD (Brazilian General Data Protection Law). • Act as the primary data partner for leadership, translating the company’s strategic goals into key performance indicators (KPIs) and action plans for the Data area. • Transform raw data into strategic insights, answering complex business questions about claims/loss ratio, healthcare costs, utilization, and member behavior. • Lead the creation and automation of dashboards and management reports (using tools such as Looker) to support decision-making by the executive leadership and business areas. • Implement and promote a data-driven culture, enabling business teams to consume and interpret data autonomously and effectively. • Segment data based on specific criteria to better understand different customer profiles, users, or stakeholder groups. • Design and execute predictive and propensity analyses to identify risks, cost-reduction opportunities, and improvements in the member journey. • Oversee actuarial studies for pricing, adjustments, and product monitoring, ensuring portfolio viability and sustainability. • Develop and monitor models for provisioning technical reserves (PEONA, IBNR) and regulatory capital, ensuring compliance with ANS regulations. • Conduct analyses of claims frequency, severity, and trends, providing recommendations to the Regulation, Product, and Network teams.
🎯 Requirements
• University degree in Engineering, Technology, Actuarial Science, Statistics, or other STEM fields. • Experience managing multidisciplinary data teams (engineering, analytics, BI, or data science). • Proficiency with Business Analytics tools (SQL) and visualization platforms (Looker, Tableau, Power BI, or similar). • Understanding of data architecture (Data Warehouse, Data Lake, ETL/ELT pipelines) and modeling concepts is a plus. • Advanced knowledge of SQL, Looker, statistics, Python, and R. • Senior-level communication and translation skills: ability to convert complex technical analyses into clear business recommendations for senior leadership. • Strong quantitative background with the ability to understand, apply, or supervise actuarial concepts (pricing, provisioning, risk analysis). • Prior experience in the Supplementary Health sector (operators, insurers, or health techs) is a strong differentiator. • Knowledge of ANS regulations (e.g., resolutions on reserves, pricing, data submission).
