• The Regional Sales Manager owns all sales activities within the defined region of responsibility and is the key to developing, strengthening and maintaining customer relationships. • Sell the full range of SAMSON products to achieve regional targets and follow corporate strategy. • Interact with and support the sales channel operating within the region and liaise with internal teams. • Provide customer service excellence through proactive communication and face-to-face interactions. • Cold call, prospect and qualify companies within the region; plan territory coverage efficiently. • Track all customer communication in CRM; follow-up on quotations over 10,000 CAD. • Conduct lunch-and-learns, attend customer visits, webinars, meetings and training as required. • Provide technical support: documentation, drawings, training, site visits and demonstrations. • Comply with OHSA, company policies, safety practices and SAMSON quality standards; participate in required training. • Work environment: Home Office, Office, and visits to customer operations or production facilities. • Travel: 30-50% day trips within Canada; 20-30% overnight trips within Canada.
• Prior experience in Industrial or Process Automation sales (2+ years) • Prior experience with cold calling and prospecting (2+ years) • Managing sales cycles between 6 weeks and 2 years • Previous experience managing a defined region • Previous experience utilizing a CRM with all customer interactions • An energetic self-starter with the desire to achieve challenging objectives and think outside of the box • Advanced oral and written communication in English (French is an asset) with strong report writing skills • Strong Customer Service orientation and skills • Problem-solving skills and adaptability to deal with conflicts, setbacks and change • Detail-oriented person with analytical ability and listening skills and an innovative problem-solver • Strong presentation skills • Strong MS Office knowledge and computer skills • Ability to work in a team environment • Strong organizational skills to deal with occasional heavy workloads and multi-tasking
