• Provide technical supervision and support reviews on projects, investigating, troubleshooting, and solving electrical engineering issues • Provide technical supervision to ensure successful completion of electrical engineering project deliverables to meet technical, quality, financial and project controls expectations • Initiate and convey scope of work to group members and define deliverables (calculations, specs, drawings, design change, etc.) • Review status and track progress of group members; conduct routine status meetings and submit progress reports • Track and resolve open items and emergent project issues; coordinate completion of project deliverables • Support design change package and technical analysis reviews for detailed design phases for all aspects of electrical engineering work • Develop project scope, cost estimates, and schedules for complex electrical modifications at nuclear power plants • Provide technical oversight, supervision, and/or reviews for electrical engineering activities including engineering design change packages, AC/DC power studies, short circuit, cable ampacity, voltage drop, breaker coordination, motor starting and protective relay settings • Prepare equipment procurement specifications, participate in bid review evaluation, support vendor questions, and maintain tracking of Q&A • Interface with the client, validate scope, ensure client satisfaction, and identify strategic follow-on opportunities • Mentor and guide the development of other electrical engineers in the group • Leverage client relationships to develop follow-on work from existing clients
• A BSEE degree from an ABET-accredited engineering program • 10 years of experience in the design of electrical engineering systems for nuclear power plants • 3 years of experience in leading an engineering design group through all phases of a project design • Experience in the selection of equipment, materials, and the preparation and assembling of engineering design change packages, calculations, and specifications • Experience with serving as firm/client liaison in a support or lead engineering role • Experience with electrical system design including low and medium voltage distribution systems (transformers, generators, motor, relays, etc…) • Effective written and verbal communication skills • Proficiency with MS Office applications • Detail oriented approach to work • Capable of being badged for unescorted access to a nuclear station • PE Licensure is preferred • We do not sponsor employees for work authorization in the U.S.
