📋 Description

• Oversee bookkeeping activity completed by the external bookkeeping provider • Review QuickBooks and financial records for accuracy and identify discrepancies, incorrect categorization, or items requiring correction • Perform regular bank and account reconciliations and investigate discrepancies • Review transaction records, journal entries, and supporting documentation • Support cleanup and reconciliation of historical financial records • Monitor accounts payable, accounts receivable, invoicing, and expense activity • Identify aging items and financial obligations requiring attention • Maintain and update company budgets and financial tracking • Monitor actual performance against budget and identify variances • Develop and maintain cash flow forecasts and financial projections • Analyze financial data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities • Provide leadership with financial insights and recommendations • Prepare accurate financial reports and summaries • Provide budget-to-actual and financial performance reporting • Proactively communicate discrepancies, trends, and financial issues • Improve financial visibility and reporting processes • Use ChatGPT, Claude, and other AI solutions to improve analysis, reporting, and accounting workflows • Identify opportunities to streamline repetitive accounting processes • Help develop efficient financial workflows and reporting processes

🎯 Requirements

• Candidates must be based in LATAM, Africa, or Eastern Europe • Availability to work 9:00 AM–5:00 PM EST / U.S. business hours aligned with the client’s time zone • 5+ years of relevant bookkeeping, accounting, financial analysis, or accounting operations experience preferred • Strong hands-on experience managing day-to-day bookkeeping and accounting activities • Experience with budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and financial analysis • Experience independently identifying and investigating accounting discrepancies • Experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, invoicing, and expense management • Experience working independently and taking ownership of accounting responsibilities • Strong hands-on QuickBooks experience • Strong Excel and/or Google Sheets skills • Experience performing bank and account reconciliations • Experience working with journal entries and general ledger management • Experience with budget management and budget-to-actual tracking • Experience developing and maintaining cash flow forecasts • Strong financial reporting and financial analysis capabilities • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial statements • Ability to analyze financial information and identify meaningful variances and trends • Ability to investigate discrepancies and understand their underlying causes • Ability to communicate financial information and insights clearly to non-finance stakeholders • Experience using AI tools such as ChatGPT or Claude for accounting, reporting, or financial analysis is strongly preferred • Strong attention to detail, problem-solving, and follow-through • Ability to independently take ownership of accounting responsibilities and confidential financial information • English resume in PDF format required • Application form and video submission required
