<SCCON> is a Brazilian geospatial analytics company that delivers daily satellite-imagery monitoring, automated change-detection alerts, and quantified analytics for environmental and land-use changes across all Brazilian biomes. 📋 Description

• Work on complex geospatial projects using various satellite imagery sources and advanced software for geospatial data analysis and modeling. • Perform image processing, land-use change detection, predictive analysis, and environmental monitoring. • Develop scripts (Python/R) to automate processes. • Propose new geospatial technologies and integrate GIS systems with cloud platforms. • Provide technical support to junior and mid-level analysts. • Conduct internal and client training sessions. • Perform quality control of geographic data. • Prepare technical opinions, reports, and strategic presentations to translate complex data for management and stakeholders. • Serve as the team’s technical reference and support management in defining methodologies and ensuring the quality of deliverables.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Geography, Cartographic Engineering, Forestry Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Geospatial Technology, or a related field (graduate degree or master’s degree is a plus). • Solid experience in geospatial and remote sensing projects. • Advanced proficiency in GIS tools (QGIS and/or similar), cartography, and image classification. • Advanced knowledge of Brazilian biomes and their social and environmental dynamics. • Intermediate English proficiency and proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace. • Preferred: Google Earth Engine (GEE), SQL, PostGIS, Python/R, and Machine Learning. • Analytical thinking, technical autonomy, and a focus on solving complex problems. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for reporting data and insights to management. • Consultative and collaborative approach, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team. • Strong organizational and prioritization skills to manage multiple concurrent demands.
