📋 Description
• Keep track of speaking engagements and event requests. • Draft email templates announcing Global Schools’ participation in high-level events, and coordinate with the relevant teams to send information out to alumni, schools, and partners. • Work with the Communication team to develop outreach materials to advertise and promote Global Schools events. • Support the Global Director in keeping track of UN Days and events, including relevant opportunities for Global Schools to participate in. • Brainstorm new and creative ways to showcase the work of Global Schools at high-level events. • Contribute to writing concept notes for global events and side events. • Search and keep track of global events GSP should participate in including COPs, UNESCO conferences, UN summits, high-level education forums, and other strategic international gatherings. • Maintain an up-to-date and comprehensive list of organizations, institutions, and networks that GSP can collaborate with for events, partnerships, and strategic engagements.
🎯 Requirements
• Significant experience in planning and managing events. • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team, with limited supervision. • Demonstrated experience in organizing, coordinating, and moderating events; with international experience considered a plus. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong interpersonal abilities. • A flexible, target-driven, and proactive approach to their work. • A cooperative approach to working with stakeholders and the team. • High integrity in modeling SDSN’s values and ethical standards. • Appreciation for diversity and the ability to work with team members across time zones. • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to be flexible and adaptable to changing environments. • A commitment to delivering high-quality results. • Knowledge of sustainable development and a passion for the mission of Global Schools, including the pursuit of the Sustainable Development Goals and the Paris Agreement on climate change. • At least two years of demonstrated experience in event management, either online or in person. • Strong computer skills and experience working with various communications and management software (i.e. Google Suite, Excel, WhatsApp, etc.). • Excellent command of the English language, including writing, speaking, and listening.
