• Builds and maintains effective collaborative relationships with management and leadership • Proactively identifies issues before they affect productivity and turnover • Consults, coaches, and influences all levels of management regarding employment relations decisions (performance management, harassment, business conduct, job eliminations, restructuring and CR policies) • Understands business cycles and staffing needs to assist in developing human capital strategies • Assists in managing recruiting and staffing initiatives and counseling line managers in final selections • Works on compensation matters including salary surveys, job development, industry benchmarking, payroll and salary administration • Ensures colleague matters are handled consistently and aligned with company vision and values • Conducts internal investigations and prepares required documentation • Ensures wage and hour compliance including unpaid overtime reviews • Disseminates and facilitates colleague resources and organizational development training to front-line and leadership • Supports the organization's quality program(s) and performs other duties as assigned • Travels as required
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university preferred • Professional designation related to this position preferred • Six (6) years of human resources experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required • Human resources generalist experience a plus • Ability to maintain confidentiality and sensitivity to all issues • Knowledge of human resources related laws • Conduct timely, objective, and thorough internal investigations • Ensures wage and hour compliance including unpaid overtime reviews • Excellent oral and written communication skills • PC literate, including Microsoft Office products • Analytical and interpretive skills • Strong organizational skills • Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills • Ability to work in a team environment • Ability to meet or exceed Performance Competencies • Travel as required
