📋 Description

• Partner with the client account's senior engineer to plan, build, and ship software • Share ownership of delivery and work proactively rather than waiting for assigned tasks • Work directly with the client's team daily in standups, status updates, and scoping conversations • Own work end-to-end, including flagging risks and proactively communicating timelines • Ramp quickly into the existing codebase and client relationship • Operate as a peer/partner to another senior engineer with no dedicated PM layer

🎯 Requirements

• Senior, hands-on software engineering experience • Backend experience with Python and Flask • Experience with SQLAlchemy or a comparable ORM • Experience with relational databases, including MySQL/MariaDB • Frontend experience with Jinja2 templates, Bootstrap, JavaScript/jQuery, and Webpack • Hands-on experience with REST/API integrations • Fluent spoken and written English • Ability to ramp quickly into an existing codebase and client relationship • Comfort working as a peer/partner to another senior engineer without a dedicated manager • Ability to track scope, flag risk, drive status, and communicate timelines proactively • Prior experience in consulting, professional-services, or client-facing agency environments strongly preferred • Insurance, risk, or fintech domain experience is nice to have • Experience with a two-person senior tandem model is nice to have • Comfort picking up custom in-house packages and internal tooling is nice to have • Must be currently based in Latin America • Ability to work under a full-time independent-contractor agreement • Application must be completed personally and interviews conducted live on video with camera on
