• Work on abends/failures in the batch network: analysis, correction, release and reprocessing/restart. • Perform quick inspections of programs to identify root cause and execution parameters. • Implement changes to JCLs and COBOL/DB2 programs (steps, DDs, parameters, datasets, conditionals, return codes). • Adjust and validate SYSINs (cards/execution parameter configurations). • Make changes and perform analyses on COBOL programs and JCLs following the change control process (when applicable).
• Strong experience with Control‑M for Mainframe (dependencies, rerun/restart, troubleshooting). • Proficiency in JCL and SYSIN. • Experience in failure analysis and working in a TSO/ISPF environment. • Practical knowledge of batch processing: return codes/steps, datasets (e.g., GDG/VSAM as per client).
