📋 Description

• Diagnose and resolve performance bottlenecks across applications, APIs, and downstream dependencies using distributed tracing • Troubleshoot and optimize WebSphere and WebLogic environments • Execute JVM profiling and garbage collection analysis • Evaluate heap and thread dumps • Implement application-level structured logging and correlation IDs • Analyze API latency, timeouts, retries, and dependency failures • Conduct network, proxy, load balancer, and TLS troubleshooting • Perform browser-to-backend transaction tracing and real user monitoring (RUM) • Collaborate with international teams on complex engineering challenges

🎯 Requirements

• Deep Java application performance engineering experience • Strong diagnostic skills with WebSphere and WebLogic • Expertise in JVM profiling, garbage collection analysis, heap dumps, and thread dumps • Hands-on experience with APM tools such as Datadog, New Relic, or similar platforms • Experience with Oracle performance diagnostics, including SQL execution plans, AWR, and ASH • Proficiency in managing JDBC connection pools, application thread pools, and session management • Experience tracing transactions across legacy or partially instrumented platforms • Experience with application-level structured logging and correlation IDs • Experience with distributed tracing across applications, APIs, and downstream dependencies • Experience analyzing API latency, timeouts, retries, and dependency failures • Experience with browser-to-backend transaction tracing and Real User Monitoring (RUM) • Network, proxy, load balancer, and TLS troubleshooting experience • Advanced oral English • Advanced Spanish • Familiarity with cloud-native foundations or AI coding assistants (desired)
