ServiceTitan is a comprehensive software platform designed for the trades industry, providing solutions to enhance productivity and profitability for businesses. It offers a variety of features including dispatching, scheduling, marketing, reporting, and customer experience tools, tailored for trades like plumbing, HVAC, electrical services, and more. ServiceTitan seeks to empower businesses by optimizing operations, improving cash flow, and delivering superior customer experiences through an all-in-one platform. The software includes real-time data analytics, financing options, and mobile capabilities to support the operational needs of contractors and increase their revenue streams. By consolidating multiple business functions into a single platform, ServiceTitan aims to help contractors grow profitably and efficiently.

📋 Description

• Hire, manage, and develop a team of software engineers — own their performance, processes, priorities, and long-term career goals. • Drive the execution of your team's quarterly roadmap: break down goals into clear, measurable milestones and deliver on time with high quality toward business outcomes. • Stay technically engaged — participate in design and code reviews, contribute to architecture decisions, and help engineers make sound technical tradeoffs. • Identify and drive organizational improvements through close partnership with other Engineering Managers, Directors, and cross-functional stakeholders. • Partner with product, SRE, security, and domain engineering teams to define platform contracts, close delivery gaps, and align on reliability, velocity, and cost goals. • Communicate effectively across the engineering and R&D organizations — translate technical complexity to non-technical audiences and represent your team's needs to leadership. • Build and improve the tooling, infrastructure, or reliability systems your team owns — ensuring observability, adoption, and impact are visible and measurable. • Own the toolchain, platform, or reliability strategy for your area from local development through production, and communicate that strategy clearly to the broader engineering organization. • Foster a culture of open communication, high ownership, and continuous improvement — where engineers feel invested in the team's success and empowered to take initiative.

🎯 Requirements

• 6–8+ years of software engineering experience, including 3+ years managing small to medium-sized engineering teams responsible for development, platform tooling, or infrastructure. • Proven track record delivering high-quality software at scale — with strong ownership of team performance, processes, and long-term engineering goals. • Technical depth in one or more of: database reliability and distributed systems, CI/CD and build infrastructure, or internal developer platform tooling. • Hands-on technical engagement — comfort reviewing designs, reading code, and participating in architecture discussions; this is not a purely coordinative role. • Strong knowledge of public cloud platforms (Azure preferred), infrastructure tooling (Kubernetes, Docker), and DevOps practices (CI/CD pipelines, version control, deployment systems). • Experience with observability platforms (metrics, logs, tracing), performance engineering, or test automation frameworks is a strong plus depending on team alignment. • Excellent cross-functional communication skills — you can align stakeholders, navigate competing priorities, and translate technical topics for non-technical audiences. • Ability to turn ambiguous strategy into sequenced roadmaps, clear ownership, and measurable outcomes. • B.S., M.S., or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.

🏖️ Benefits

• Flexible time off with ample learning and development opportunities to continue growing your career. • Comprehensive onboarding program, leadership training for Titans at all levels, and other programs and events. • Great work is rewarded through Bonusly, peer-nominated awards, and more. • Company-paid medical, dental, and vision (with 100% employer paid options and 90% coverage for dependents), FSA and HSA, 401k match, and telehealth options including memberships to One Medical. • Parental leave and support, up to $20k in fertility services (i.e. IUI and IVF), surrogacy, and adoption reimbursement, on demand maternity support through Maven Maternity, free breast milk shipping through Maven Milk, pet insurance, legal advisory services, financial planning tools, and more.
