• Collect samples and conduct observations of products, raw materials, and equipment at various field locations • Accurately label sample containers and documentation with identifying data, location, date, and time of collection • Transport samples to designated locations for analysis while maintaining proper handling procedures • Gather samples at specified locations and processing states at designated time intervals • Operate and maintain field equipment, tools, and instruments • Organize, clean, and inspect equipment and containers before and after use • Wear and ensure proper use of required personal protective equipment (PPE) • Maintain detailed and accurate records of field activities, observations, and test results • Adhere to local, state, and federal safety processes, procedures, and regulations • Communicate field findings and issues to team members and supervisors • Support team members and contribute to a collaborative, safety-focused environment • Perform additional duties as assigned
• High School diploma or equivalent required • No prior field experience required; entry-level candidates welcome • Ability to follow instructions and complete tasks accurately and on time • Valid driver's license required • MSHA 24-hour surface Mine Safety and Health Administration certificate may be required; training is available through the organization • Intermediate English language skills required (Advanced preferred) • Basic mathematical skills required (Intermediate preferred) • Intermediate problem-solving and reasoning abilities • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills • Ability to read, interpret, and follow technical documents, safety rules, and procedure manuals • Effective written and verbal communication skills • Ability to work independently under moderate supervision • Ability to operate hand tools and basic field equipment • Physical stamina and capability to work in various weather conditions and outdoor environments • Flexibility and adaptability to changing work assignments and on-call schedules • Ability to pass a drug test • Ability to operate field sampling and testing equipment • Proper use and maintenance of personal protective equipment (PPE)
