âą Define and drive SGS Medical Devices' global business development agenda âą Identify growth opportunities across medical schemes, markets and customer segments âą Lead the Global Medical Business Development team without direct or indirect line management responsibility for country, Delivering Office or Hub sales teams âą Translate market, client, competitor and regulatory insights into service propositions, go-to-market priorities and strategic growth initiatives âą Define and maintain the global business development roadmap for all Medical schemes âą Coordinate business development initiatives across countries, Delivering Offices and Hubs âą Develop business cases and coordinate incubation, launch and scaling of new or enhanced Medical certification schemes and service offerings âą Identify opportunities in emerging markets, new customer segments, strategic partnerships and cross-SGS collaboration âą Shape value propositions, positioning, pricing principles and go-to-market toolkits with cross-functional teams âą Support sales teams in local business development plans, customer ownership, pipeline conversion and sales targets âą Facilitate forums, best-practice sharing, training, opportunity reviews and commercial tools for the international Medical sales and business development community âą Coordinate support for strategic, complex or multi-country opportunities and participate in priority client engagements âą Promote sharing of qualified opportunities and market intelligence and consistent use of CRM and reporting platforms âą Represent SGS in selected external forums, conferences and industry events âą Balance growth potential with regulatory, impartiality, integrity, capacity and delivery requirements âą Provide market and demand insight for capacity modelling, subcontractor strategy and workforce planning âą Drive projects from initiation through implementation and lead continuous improvement across Medical Devices âą Own processes and ensure regulatory, commercial and operational alignment âą Support recruitment, onboarding, qualification and competence management of personnel âą Ensure compliance with SGS integrity policies, impartiality requirements and confidentiality obligations âą Maintain stakeholder relationships and contribute to regulatory and accreditation readiness âą Secure resources for conformity assessment activities across Medical schemes âą Drive process standardisation and harmonisation across schemes and regions âą Be accountable for activities and decisions taken by the notified body, including contractual agreements
âą Minimum of 5 years in business development, market development, portfolio management or a comparable growth role within the medical device TIC industry or a closely related regulated B2B environment âą Demonstrated experience developing and implementing business development strategies across multiple countries or regions âą Proven success coordinating and enabling distributed sales or commercial communities in a matrix organisation without direct line authority âą Experience developing new markets, strategic partnerships, service propositions or complex multi-country opportunities âą Experience managing complex, multi-stakeholder projects and balancing growth objectives with regulatory, compliance and operational constraints âą Experience using market intelligence, CRM and commercial performance data to prioritise initiatives and support decision-making âą Demonstrated expertise in global business development, market development, portfolio growth and go-to-market coordination within medical devices or the TIC industry âą Understanding of MDR/IVDR and international regulatory frameworks âą Strong capability in market intelligence, opportunity assessment, business case development, service proposition design, positioning and pricing âą Ability to influence, enable and coordinate country sales teams in a matrix environment without formal authority âą Strong facilitation, communication, negotiation and stakeholder engagement capabilities across commercial, technical, regulatory and operational functions âą Demonstrated ability to work proactively and independently, taking ownership of global initiatives from concept through implementation âą Strong organisational, project and change management capabilities âą Strong commercial acumen and deep appreciation of the TIC industry âą Familiarity with conformity assessment procedures and Notified Body operations âą Multilingual proficiency and cross-cultural experience âą University degree in business, marketing, life sciences, engineering, or a related discipline âą Valid work permit for the relevant European location âą CV must be written in English
