📋 Description

• Provide technical leadership and regulatory expertise across non-food consumer product categories • Lead regulatory interpretation, horizon scanning, compliance risk management, technical quality assurance and continuous improvement • Prepare, check, question and approve pack copy/product specifications using supplier specifications • Ensure pack copy complies with current and pending EU and UK legislation, codes of practice, client requirements and industry guidelines • Ensure program runs use the latest SOPs, crib sheets, checklists and mandatory regulatory requirements • Support advisors with complex regulatory queries and best-practice guidance • Lead advisory team training, cross-training and onboarding of junior advisors • Create, develop and maintain working instructions, crib sheets and checklists • Liaise with regulatory authorities and enforcement agencies • Lead weekly horizon scanning and monitor legislation, guidance, news, events and trends • Develop a comprehensive technical sign-off checklist • Review and approve regulatory work to mitigate incorrect or incomplete submissions • Communicate with clients, suppliers, design agencies, print houses and internal or external stakeholders • Act as primary contact for complex technical client queries • Handle claims or complaints arising from advisory errors • Lead client retainer requests and provide constructive feedback and resolutions • Attend internal and external meetings and collaborate with business development, account managers, clients, suppliers and enforcement agencies

🎯 Requirements

• Already working in a Regulatory affairs or product quality role • Familiarity with UK and EU consumer protection legislation • Ability to interpret and apply retailer corporate policy and UK / EU legislation • Proven experience working with UK and EU consumer protection legislation • Experience in training and mentoring technical teams • Experience working directly with large retailers or multinational brands • Ability to provide technical leadership and regulatory expertise across non-food consumer product categories
