📋 Description

• Conduct technical reviews of certification projects • Lead quality assessments in the explosive atmosphere division as an individual contributor • Conduct QAN/QAR audits to verify manufacturer and factory compliance with EN/ISO/IEC 80079-34, IECEx 02, ISO 9001:2015 and other relevant requirements • Review client QAN/QAR submissions for completeness before formal audits • Prepare audit schedules, agendas, checklists and supporting materials • Compile audit reports and technical documentation supporting certification decisions • Document audit findings and NCRs in QAN/QAR audit reports • Review client NCR responses and verify corrective-action effectiveness • Prepare QAN and QAR certificates according to IECEx and ATEX requirements • Collaborate with audit, inspection and operations teams on annual QAN/QAR audit scheduling • Conduct peer reviews of audit reports • Maintain audit traceability and secure supporting evidence • Process suspension, cancellation and reinstatement of authorized manufacturers and factories based on audit outcomes • Conduct specialized audits and surveillance inspections, including KOSHA, KGS and INMETRO • Conduct NRTL IECEx and ATEX project reviews for intrinsic safety, non-incendive, optical radiation and other protection methods • Provide feedback on Ex projects handled by affiliate network engineers • Communicate findings and project status with SGS Certification, Quality and Management teams • Participate in external audits conducted by national and international accreditation bodies • Monitor recurring issues and trends to support continuous improvement • Maintain current knowledge of internal policies, international standards and industry quality requirement changes • Perform additional duties supporting the Hazardous Location certification team

🎯 Requirements

• BSEE, BSCS or equivalent degree • Minimum 3-5 years of experience working with NRTL, IECEx or ATEX manufacturer or Hazardous location conformity assessment bodies (Mandatory) • Equivalent combination of education and experience accepted • ISO 9001:2015 lead auditor certification from an IRCA or equivalent certified coursework provider preferred • Authorized IECEx Quality Assessment Report (QAR) auditor preferred • Prior experience conducting or participating in internal and external audits preferred • Prior experience reviewing IECEx and ATEX technical reports (ExTRs) preferred • Working knowledge of NRTL, ATEX and IECEx regulatory requirements • Knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 or equivalent quality system/standard requirements • Knowledge of Ex protection methods and inspection techniques involved in facilities • Knowledge of EN/ISO/IEC 80079-34 requirements • Ability to prioritize workload and meet deadlines • Ability to work independently with limited oversight • Strong analytical and diagnostic skills and excellent attention to detail • Effective written and verbal communication skills • High level of accuracy and good presentation skills • Excellent interpersonal skills, good team spirit and adaptability • Ability to communicate effectively with international SGS personnel and clients • Proficiency in Excel and Office 365 applications • Ability to travel up to 30% of the time, including some international travel
