📋 Description

• Lead and mentor a team of ML engineers, AI engineers, and data scientists, providing technical guidance and fostering professional development • Set the technical vision and strategy for AI/ML initiatives, making critical architectural decisions that shape our data and AI infrastructure • Collaborate closely with engineering, product, analytics, and leadership teams to align AI/ML projects with business objectives • Oversee the design, development, and deployment of ML models, AI agents, and data pipelines from conception to production • Ensure data quality, integrity, and performance across all ML and data infrastructure through best practices and monitoring systems • Drive innovation in GenAI, agentic systems, and advanced ML techniques to keep Shipwell at the forefront of AI in logistics • Manage project timelines, resource allocation, and cross-functional dependencies to deliver high-impact AI solutions • Communicate technical concepts and project outcomes effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders • Stay proactive in identifying opportunities for improvement and raising the bar for team performance and technical excellence

🎯 Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in machine learning, AI engineering, or data science, with at least 3 years in a leadership or management role • Proven track record of architecting, developing, deploying, and maintaining ML models and AI agents in production environments • Deep expertise in Python, SQL, modern ML tooling, and frameworks such as LangChain, LangGraph, or equivalent agent development kits • Strong understanding of data engineering best practices including ETL pipelines, data integrity, monitoring, and optimization • Experience working with cloud infrastructure (AWS preferred) and collaborating with DevOps teams to enable scalable AI/ML systems • Demonstrated ability to mentor and develop team members, fostering technical growth and collaborative excellence • Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with engineering, product, and executive leadership • Experience with the entire SDLC in Agile methodologies and git. • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Physics, or a quantitative field, or demonstrated equivalent experience
