📋 Description

• Perform duties to install and provide on-demand/scheduled service and training for general-purpose and customer-specific equipment • Daily travel by auto with frequent overnight stays; daily drive time usually 1 to 6 hours • Perform daily tasks in accordance with all Safety regulations and protocols and complete safety training • Timely, accurately, and effectively document daily service activities and expenses in the appropriate recording system • Identify complex problems relating to customer and/or machines and implement effective solutions • Read and interpret complex blueprints, wiring diagrams and schematics for installation, repair, upgrades and retrofits • Provide technical support and training to Signode Technicians and monitor/manage scheduled service calls • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical and electronic equipment breakdowns; disassemble units, replace defective parts, make adjustments and test • Coordinate proactive pre-installation meetings, inspect sites for product compatibility, install, adjust and test equipment • Report and follow up on potential unsafe conditions and suggest solutions; maintain customer relationships and communicate with stakeholders • Troubleshoot and repair equipment PLCs; identify upgrade/retrofit opportunities and assist with quotations • Design and conduct training programs for customers and company service representatives; prepare non-conformance reports and service bulletins • Work with Regional Service Manager on inventory sourcing levels and specific parts as related to assigned equipment

🎯 Requirements

• Candidate must be based in the Richmond, VA area • High School Degree, Technical or similar College Degree • 4-5 years of transferable experience • Electrical, Mechanical, Blueprints, Schematics and PLC background • Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc) • Desirable: Professional course (electrical or mechanical or automation courses) • Ability to timely, accurately, and effectively document daily service activities and expenses • Must be able to perform daily travel by auto with frequent overnight stays (daily drive time usually 1 to 6 hours)
