âą Oversee editorial workflows for multiple publications, from manuscript to final proof âą Collaborate with authors, editors, designers, production staff, and marketing to manage project timelines and deliverables âą Supervise inhouse content editors, copyeditors, and proofreaders âą Ensure consistency in voice, tone, and style across all publications âą Implement and maintain editorial guidelines and processes âą Stay current with issues, trends and best practices in academic publishing
âą Bachelor's degree required; advanced credentials in Publishing or disciplines related to SIL domains preferred âą 3+ years experience managing editorial teams, or cross-functional content projects âą 5+ years experience working in SIL domain or project roles (or equivalent) preferred âą 5+ years of editorial experience in non-profit academic publishing, or extensive experience as a regularly published author of academic articles or books âą Proven experience with manuscript development, content editing, copyediting, and proofreading across a range of formats (books, digital content)
