• Provide home help services to aged care clients • Perform general housekeeping and make beds • Clean, mop and vacuum floors • Wash, fold and iron laundry • Prepare meals and complete grocery shopping • Assist clients out of bed, with showering and dressing • Assist clients to take medications • Support mobility and therapy goals • Provide complex care for customers with high care needs, including dementia • Provide social and emotional support • Transport clients to lifestyle activities or appointments • Provide respite for family carers • Work independently and find solutions to everyday problems • Ask the manager for help when needed
• At least 3 months’ experience in a similar professional role • Experience with personal care, manual handling, hoist training and medications • Valid Australian Driver’s Licence • Own insured, roadworthy vehicle • USI number required for paid CPR and First Aid courses • Must complete a Statutory Declaration prior to commencement • Must complete a National Police check prior to commencement • Must complete a Working Rights check prior to commencement • Must complete a pre-employment functional assessment prior to commencement
