📋 Description

• Lead the data workstream for a SAP SQL Anywhere platform migration project involving millions of records, stored procedures, triggers, and critical integrations • Evaluate, define, and implement Change Data Capture (CDC) mechanisms to support platform coexistence scenarios • Ensure data consistency and a single source of truth during dual-run operations • Preserve data integrity and the performance of mission-critical enterprise applications • Support and enhance data environments for equivalence testing, validation, and replay of production history • Produce masked and synthetic datasets in compliance with Brazil’s General Data Protection Law (LGPD) • Define and execute wave-based data migration, reconciliation, and validation strategies while mitigating operational risks • Extract, document, and transform embedded business rules into reusable artifacts • Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks, driving continuous improvement of the database environment • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams throughout all phases of the migration and technology modernization process

🎯 Requirements

• Advanced or fluent English for reading and interpreting technical documentation • Strong experience migrating legacy databases to modern platforms and/or cloud environments • Proven track record of migration and cutover projects completed without data loss • Experience with Sybase, SAP SQL Anywhere (ASA), or equivalent technologies • Knowledge of Change Data Capture (CDC), data replication, and data synchronization • Experience in platform coexistence environments and dual-store strategies • Strong background in query tuning and large-scale performance optimization • Knowledge of data governance, data quality, and compliance with Brazil’s General Data Protection Law (LGPD) • Experience with complex database migration projects in large-scale enterprise environments • Analytical ability to assess risks and define migration strategies • Preferred: experience with AWS data services; knowledge of FinOps and cost-optimization strategies (right-sizing); experience extracting and refactoring business rules embedded in PowerBuilder and SAP SQL Anywhere; experience with PostgreSQL; experience in data architecture modernization and digital transformation projects • Strategic vision and a strong sense of ownership • Analytical mindset with a focus on solving complex problems • Ability to work in critical, high-availability environments • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with technical and business stakeholders • Organization, autonomy, and a results-oriented approach • Commitment to data quality, security, and governance
