📋 Description

• Develop, maintain, and enhance solutions using PowerBuilder, .NET, and relational databases • Serve as a technical reference for the development team • Lead architectural discussions and support the development of complex components • Work closely with architects and technical leaders to advance the platform • Assess technical impacts and guide decisions focused on long-term sustainability • Actively participate in code reviews and promote best practices • Help reduce technical debt and continuously improve application quality • Develop implementations, fixes, and new system functionality • Perform root-cause analyses and resolve highly complex issues • Create tests and technical documentation, and support the team in maintaining the product • Participate in Agile ceremonies and collaborate with cross-functional teams • Support deadline management, particularly for requirements related to legal and tax obligations

🎯 Requirements

• PowerBuilder, .NET, and relational databases • Strong experience developing desktop applications using PowerBuilder • In-depth knowledge of DataWindows, PFC (PowerBuilder Foundation Classes), and integration with relational databases • Experience with large-scale PowerBuilder applications containing millions of lines of code and supporting a large user base • Experience in scaled environments with at least 5 million lines of code and tens of thousands of users • Knowledge of Sybase SQL Anywhere, PostgreSQL, and SQL Server • Experience with stored procedures, triggers, views, and SQL query optimization • Experience handling large data volumes while considering the limitations of 32-bit PowerBuilder • Experience with .NET and integration between PowerBuilder and .NET • Knowledge of garbage collection and interoperability between technologies • Hands-on experience with threads in PowerBuilder and .NET • Experience in projects modernizing or migrating PowerBuilder applications to more modern architectures • Application of design patterns such as MVC, Repository, Factory, and Singleton • Knowledge and application of SOLID principles • Experience with refactoring and reducing coupling • Knowledge of Clean Code and software development best practices • Standardization of technical documentation, naming conventions, and code quality • Strong analytical skills for interpreting and evolving legacy code • Experience working as a Staff Engineer, Principal Engineer, or Technical Lead • Experience providing technical leadership for development squads • Involvement in technical quality initiatives and technical debt reduction • Experience influencing architectural decisions and leading structural system improvements • Ability to mentor developers and raise the technical level of teams • Experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum or Kanban) • Active participation in Agile ceremonies • Experience with Jira, Azure DevOps, or equivalent tools • Experience with Git, pull requests, and version control strategies • Advanced English proficiency for reading and writing technical documentation
