• Conduct a literature review and survey the state of the art • Propose and develop new constructions and optimizations of quantum circuits for the Shor algorithm adapted to ECDLP • Implement the constructions in quantum programming languages • Run simulations with noise models and experiments on noisy quantum hardware • Analyze performance data and perform iterative optimizations • Contribute to quantifying the gains and estimating the ECDLP vulnerability timeline • Prepare technical reports and scientific papers
• PhD • Degree in Computer Science, Physics, Cybersecurity, Software Engineering, or a related field • Advanced Python programming skills • Strong background in quantum computing and quantum information • Proven experience implementing the Shor algorithm • Experience developing and optimizing quantum circuits • Experience running experiments on real quantum hardware • Proficiency with quantum computing frameworks/SDKs such as Qiskit or Cirq • Experience with quantum simulators and noise models • Knowledge of quantum algorithms • Ability to implement and reproduce results from scientific papers • Knowledge of the Discrete Logarithm Problem (DLP) and the Elliptic Curve Discrete Logarithm Problem (ECDLP) • Knowledge of Elliptic Curve Cryptography (ECC) • Experience applying Shor’s algorithm to DLP/ECDLP • Experience with quantum arithmetic and reversible circuits • Quantum circuit optimization and compilation techniques • Error and noise mitigation techniques • Knowledge of the architectures and constraints of different quantum hardware platforms • Experience analyzing quantum resources such as qubit count, circuit depth, gate count, and fidelity • Knowledge of error correction and fault-tolerant quantum computing • Experience in scientific research and benchmarking quantum algorithms
