📋 Description

• Determine what needs to be built from business problems rather than detailed specifications • Design, build, and test software across multiple platforms • Rework and replace long-running systems without breaking dependent systems • Collaborate with product, business, and project teams • Write maintainable code with sensible test coverage • Use AI tooling effectively and verify its output before release • Investigate unfamiliar systems and data • Query databases, read code, test theories against real systems, and document findings • Improve working methods over time

🎯 Requirements

• 4+ years of production, hands-on software engineering experience • Experience maintaining and fixing software, not only building it • Track record of shipping good software at pace, independently and in a team • Hands-on experience with Claude Code on real work • Ability to work across several technical areas, including Python, Google Cloud Platform, Kafka, JavaScript and TypeScript, API development, MySQL and PostgreSQL, Git and GitHub, and Docker • Ability to work at pace without losing the thread • Ability to solve problems independently and know when to involve others • Habit of checking assumptions and identifying inconsistencies • Clear written communication in a distributed team
