• Deliver expert advice, end-to-end payroll processing, and compliance support to clients. • Work directly with customers to assess their payroll systems, ensure full legislative compliance, and implement process improvements that enhance accuracy and efficiency. • Manage accurate, start-to-finish payroll operations on a weekly and monthly basis for 1,500+ employees, including filing all required reports with HMRC. • Ensure full adherence to payroll legislation; prepare journals, reconciliations, and ad-hoc reports as required. • Serve as the main point of contact for clients, providing clear and timely responses to all payroll-related queries. • Handle communication and submissions to HMRC, ensuring all queries are resolved efficiently. • Act as a trusted advisor for customers on general payroll matters, data inconsistencies, or issues affecting payroll processing. • Work with internal product and development teams to resolve technical payroll challenges and contribute to product enhancements. • Identify and communicate opportunities to improve internal payroll processes and support offerings. • Support the implementation of new features aligned with business and client requirements.
• 2+ years of professional experience in payroll administration, with a strong and up-to-date understanding of payroll laws and regulations. • Proven experience managing end-to-end payroll processes for large employee volumes. • Proficiency with payroll software and Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel. • Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to manage client relationships effectively. • Strong organisational and multitasking skills — able to handle multiple clients and projects concurrently. • High attention to detail and accuracy, with strong problem-solving abilities. • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across teams.
