📋 Description

• Daily travel with primary responsibility for equipment at the Laredo Border Crossing. • Troubleshoot, service, install and repair Trace, X-Ray, CT X-Ray and Cargo Inspection equipment at customer sites. • Maintain field service logs, documentation of inspections, maintenance, repair work and submit paperwork timely. • Provide customer training, follow-up calls, and foster positive customer relations. • Order, install and return parts; maintain parts and tool inventory and calibrate test equipment. • Participate in service sales opportunities, site surveys, pilot programs, and prepare reports. • Maintain technical certifications and review logs for open issues; recommend product improvements. • Comply with company health, safety, environmental policies and U.S. export control and security regulations. • May require travel, overtime, varied work hours, and work at airports, correctional facilities, courthouses, cruise ships.

🎯 Requirements

• Associate’s Degree/Related Trade Certification (electrical, electronic, mechanical)/Military Training (electrical, mechanical, electronics) or equivalent (>3 years experience). • Minimum of 5 years experience directly involved in troubleshooting and field repair of electrical and electronic systems and equipment. • Computer literacy; competency in MS Office and aptitude for specialized software. • Excellent communications skills and customer focus. • Must be willing & able to travel at short notice and respond to emergency/non-scheduled calls. • Must be able to lift/carry 80 lbs and operate carts, hoists, davit cranes, pallet jacks. • Must pass federal background investigation and may require U.S. Personal Security Clearance (SSI access via TSA vetting). • Self-motivated, reliable, accountable, excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
