• Edit YouTube-first educational content that aligns with Duolingo’s brand, mission, and learning philosophy. • Craft narratives with strong pacing, clear hooks, and retention-driven creative choices. • Deliver polished long-form content, cutdowns, short-form clips, and community assets. • Work with producers and creative partners to refine story arcs and experiment with new formats. • Maintain organized project timelines and file structures for consistent, efficient delivery. • Use performance insights to evolve editing style and optimize content for engagement and reach.

🎯 Requirements

• 3–5+ years of professional editing experience with a strong portfolio demonstrating storytelling craft (required). • Deep proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, or comparable editing software. • Experience with graphic design or YouTube thumbnail creation (design + typography) is highly preferred. • Strong understanding of YouTube pacing, structure, retention tactics, and platform best practices. • Experience editing educational, narrative, branded, or documentary-style content. • Detail-oriented with excellent taste, creative instincts, and a high bar for polish. • Collaborative and adaptable, comfortable working in fast-moving production cycles. • Passionate about making learning fun, accessible, and visually compelling for global audiences.
