📋 Description

• Administration of Jira Cloud + Server + Confluence • Managing project schemes, workflows, screens, permission schemes, and notification schemes. • Managing users, groups, roles, and integrations with directories (AD/IdP). • Controlling and optimizing the instance structure: projects, custom fields, workflows, permissions. • Jira Performance & Reliability • Setting up and maintaining monitoring for Jira instances: uptime, latency, error rate, DB latency, etc. • Working with Atlassian performance reports, analyzing bottlenecks (DB, indexing, custom fields, plugins). • Planning and conducting regular performance reviews and tuning. • Automation & Integrations • Creating and maintaining automation rules (Jira Automation, ScriptRunner, etc.). • Writing Groovy/Python scripts for bulk operations, migrations, and housekeeping tasks. • Building integrations via REST API (CI/CD, monitoring systems, internal tools). • Change Management & Standards • Designing and implementing Jira configuration standards (custom field limits, workflow rules, etc.). • Planning and executing Jira and plugin upgrades. • Team Support & Internal Consulting • Collecting requirements and designing Jira solutions to support team processes. • Troubleshooting complex incidents and non-standard scenarios.

🎯 Requirements

• Required hard skills • Jira Software Cloud + Server/Data Center: workflows, boards, permission/notification/screen schemes, JQL. • Jira Service Management: queues, SLAs, request types (nice to have). • Atlassian stack: Confluence, Bitbucket, IdP/LDAP integrations (SSO, groups). • Scripting / Coding: • Groovy (ScriptRunner: post-functions, listeners, scheduled jobs). • Python (utilities, migrations, bulk operations, integrations). • Jira/Atlassian REST API (authentication, pagination, rate limits). • Performance / SRE: • Understanding of SLI/SLO/SLA, latency, error rate, log and metrics analysis. • Infrastructure: • Linux, Jira databases (PostgreSQL / Oracle / SQL Server), basic HA/DC concepts. • Integrations: • CI/CD (Jenkins/GitLab/GitHub/Bitbucket), webhooks, event-driven integrations. • Required soft skills • Systems thinking; understanding Jira as a product/platform. • Ownership of Jira uptime, performance, and configuration quality. • Ability to enforce standards, set limits, and say “no” with clear reasoning. • Clear written and verbal communication with both technical and business stakeholders. • Discipline in change management, process adherence, and post-incident analysis.
