📋 Description

• Own month-end close and deliver accurate management accounts and commentary to deadline • Maintain a clean, well-reconciled balance sheet with rigorous supporting schedules • Manage multi-currency accounting across the UK, US and EU • Design and operate the financial controls framework as the business scales • Oversee AP, AR, payment runs, billing accuracy and credit control against collection targets • Support budgeting, forecasting and cash flow planning, and report on the metrics that matter (margin by client, GMV-linked revenue, variances) • Own VAT returns, statutory filings and payroll; ensure ongoing regulatory compliance • Improve and automate finance systems and processes as we grow

🎯 Requirements

• Fully qualified accountant (ACCA, ACA or equivalent) • Big 4 background is a must • 3–6 years' experience, including time in a commercial/industry finance role post-practice • Strong technical accounting and a controls-led mindset, with proven ownership of month-end close and statutory reporting • Experience with cloud accounting software (Xero, QuickBooks, NetSuite or similar) • Confident with Excel and Google Workspace (G-Suite) — Sheets, Docs, Drive • Fluent with Claude and similar AI tools — you reach for them to speed up analysis, drafting and process automation • Experience in a digital agency, professional services, ecommerce, DTC or high-growth scale-up • Hands-on, pragmatic and happy to own your workload in a fast-paced, low-bureaucracy environment • Confident communicator who can explain finance clearly to non-finance stakeholders
