📋 Description

• Responsible for generating and customizing the operating system across support, development, testing, and production environments (MVS/ESA OS/390 and z/OS) • Installation of the operating system and supporting software for z/OS using SMP/E • Collect and analyze information for system development and changes • Plan and deploy I/O hardware expansions using HCD (Hardware Configuration Definition) • Plan and implement new LPARs in the operational complex • Study, plan and implement software focused on storage management • Participate in the study group and implementation of DFSMS/HSM in support, development and production environments • Definition of ICF catalogs, as well as defining and maintaining aliases and reorganizing catalogs with and without the TACM tool • Analyze production environment performance and recommend changes to maximize and optimize resources, supporting the performance team using MAINVIEW • Implementation and maintenance of CF (Coupling Facility) and HMC structures: create and modify hardware configurations and CPU activation profiles

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in IT or a related field • Experience as a Support Analyst on the Mainframe platform • Incident management and response • Ensure contracted SLAs and maintain infrastructure availability 24x7 across all sites • Operation and customization of z/OS operating systems (z/OS 2.2 / 2.4 / 3.1); Mainframe platform specialist • Proficiency in IBM base software: z/OS (RACF, WLM, OMVS, JES3, TCP/IP, VTAM, DFSMS, DFHSM and SMP/E) • Proficiency with EOS Enterprise Output Solution (report management) • Proficiency with GFS/AFM (file library manager) • Proficiency with GFS/BETA zSecurity and RACF administration • Programming in Assembler, REXX and JCL • Data collection and monitoring using BMC Mainview • Basic knowledge of DB2 and IMS/DB databases • Basic knowledge of TCP/IP network architecture
