📋 Description

• Monitor CrowdStrike, Zscaler, Microsoft Defender, Tanium, Adaptive, Tenable, Office 365, Entra ID, computer log files, and other security tools • Investigate security alerts from the external Security Operations Center • Determine whether alerts are false positives, security events, attacks, or security incidents • Document who, what, where, when, and how details, containment/remediation actions, and recommendations • Assess, monitor, and coordinate remediation of vulnerabilities across endpoints, web applications, cloud environments, and internal networks • Escalate security incidents to IT Security Leadership and the Director of IT Operations • Investigate reported suspicious emails, determine their classification, categorize and file them, and communicate findings and recommendations to reporters • Deploy periodic IT security and privacy training to users • Keep software and hardware at current security levels and patches • Monitor cybersecurity news and threat actor tactics, techniques, and procedures • Research, condense, and report on security bulletins and publicly identified threats • Assist coworkers with onboarding, training, investigations, and reports • Perform technical assessments of information security incidents and provide reporting and remediation actions • Enforce security policies, procedures, and plans for system security administration and user access • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and deliver enhanced security measures

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Cyber/IT Security, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field • 4+ years of IT security and system administration-related work experience or equivalency • Experience implementing security software systems, applications, and related products • Knowledge of Microsoft Entra ID, including Entra ID Protection, Conditional Access policies, MFA, passwordless authentication, FIDO2, and identity governance • Software management best practices and troubleshooting experience • Working knowledge of Security Operations Center policies, procedures, and protocols • Knowledge of data privacy and protection practices and laws • Basic knowledge of SIEM, Intrusion Detection Systems, endpoint security, web proxy/content filtering, Active Directory, PKI, RADIUS, and log analysis • Ability to work independently and as part of a team • Analytical, problem-solving, troubleshooting, time management, and communication skills • Ability to learn new technologies and products • Ability to maintain high ethical standards regarding data integrity and security • Ability to perform other duties as assigned or directed by Management
